Assignment 8a -- Angela Roberts

A bike leans against a railing outside of Charles Hall, sparkling with water droplets as rain pours down on the University of Maryland's campus.

Most of the time, I hate walking in the rain, but I found myself unusually cheerful yesterday afternoon as I snapped photos from the sanctuary of my umbrella. Here, its shadow casts a trapezoid-like shape onto a pothole submerged in a puddle.

A brilliantly-colored tree stands on South Campus. On Tuesday, it cast a reflection in the sheet of water spreading across the adjacent sidewalk.

Rain plops onto a puddle that has spilled from a sidewalk onto the mulch.

A student hurries through the rain, shielded by her umbrella. I took this photo from the dry haven of South Campus Commons 3.
