Assignment #5 - Angela Roberts

Jillian Atelsek, news editor for The Diamondback, stares up at the products of five nerve-wracking, bustling print shifts. These nights are stressful, Atelsek said. They're annoying. But, when the paper transitions to a digital-only presence in March, Atelsek might just miss them.

When Atelsek is on the clock during the week, it's rare that she'll get to go home before midnight. On Wednesday, she was already steeling herself for a late night — and that's after she stayed up until 3:30 a.m. the previous night.

Atelsek perches by the window where she escapes to make phone calls while at work — service is spotty at best in the newsroom. From this vantage point, Atelsek can look straight into her roommate's window (she lives in South Commons Building 3).
