Assignment #3 - Jonathan Tercasio

Freshman David Kovacic looks to send the ball behind Villanova's defense. In his first season for the Terps, the freshman midfielder from Krsko, Slovenia, plays an important role in moving the attack forward.

Junior Eric Matzelevich tries to win a loose ball in the midfield. The striker has earned himself a starting position this season, in addition to the captain's armband.

Senior Johannes Bergmann displays his poise while trying to play out of the back. As a center back, his job is not only to protect the goal, but also to thread key passes.

Scoreless at the half, the Terps head to the locker-room for a halftime chat with the coach. Led by Matzelevich, they hope to break the deadlock in the remaining 45 minutes.

Senior Ben Di Rosa commands the attack while capitalizing on open space. Though a defender, he likes to join the offense when the opportunity presents itself.

Matzelevich carries the ball past a defender near the corner flag. His tenacity on and off the ball renders him a threat anywhere in the offensive third.

Wildcat keeper Carson Williams takes a goal kick in the second half. Under pressure from the Terps, he tries to generate a counterattack with his kick.

Sophomore Bryan Padilla looks to find a Terp from the corner kick. His ability to provide a good service makes him a threat from this location.

Padilla lines up outside the Villanova box for a free-kick. He scored from a similar position against UCLA, and he looks to recreate that magic again.

Di Rosa, inside the Villanova box, fires a shot with his dominant right foot. His effort pays off, as the ball soon after reaches the top right corner of the goal.

Di Rosa celebrates his game-winning goal by rushing to the fan section. His passionate celebration is indicative of the type of goal he scored.
